Here's Our Story...

1973

Our story started back in 1973 when founder of Classic Color Quality Screen Printers, John aka Stankers started screen printing for John Arnold at Golden Breed Active Sportswear, Gawler Place ADL.

After working for Golden Breed for 3 years, John took 6 years off to follow the Snow Seasons.

1981

Bouncing between Falls Creek AUS, Austria and Germany, John returned to screen printing in 1981 floating around, working for various screen printing companies.

1993

In 1993 John made the decision to open his own business “Classic Color Quality Screen Printers” originally printing out the back of the Sea Suits Wetsuit Manufacturing Company printing predominantly on neoprene for wetsuits and stubby coolers. This was the year John’s wife, Jackie started screen printing within the business.

2002

2002 was the year of new beginnings, Classic Color Quality Screen Printers expanded their business, leasing a shed in Lonsdale SA. This was also the year that they purchased their very first 8 x 10 Platten TAS Automatic Machine.

2017

Unlike Johns story, Tori’s went a little different… In February 2017 after an accident snowboarding, Tori found herself out of work and designing snowboarding apparel for women. One Day Apparel was her label, originating in Big White, Canada. After what started as a side hustle shortly became Tori’s full time job.

Fast forward to late 2017, Tori met John and Jackie through her partner Sam. Shortly after this, she started contracting for Classic Color Quality Screen Printers while continuing to design and print ranges of apparel for all seasons.

2019

In 2019 Tori renamed her business One Day Supply Co. aiming to supplying quality designs and street apparel to all those who love a little uniqueness. In the beginning of 2020 Tori had some time off after having a baby boy Ollie, 2 1/2 years on Ollie is now their junior screen printer.

2022

By 2022 Tori had been contracting to Classic Color for 5 years. John and Jackie were considering retirement at this point; however wanted to keep the business alive. Tori and Sam were given the opportunity to purchase the business and keep the name and history of Classic Color going.

& Now

December 2022 is when Classic Colour Quality Screen Printers and One Day Supply Co. will come together and continue to trade under the new name of Classic Colour Print Co. Both families are passionate about screen printing and helping other businesses bring their logos and designs to life.

Between John and Jackie there is 75 years of screen printing techniques, skills and stories that have been passed on. With a quirky edge and background in screen printing and design, Tori and Sam are excited to take on the name Classic Colour and all that is yet to come.
